Regenerative mode locker
This device is used to drive acousto-optic mode lockers for laser systems running in the range 60 to 110MHz. The device uses a phased locked loop configuration to drive the mode locker synchronously with a signal derived from the light output of the laser.

Jitter Eater (Trigger resynchroniser)
This device can be used to re-sychronise an arbitrarily timed trigger pulse to an RF clock signal. It has two signal inputs, an RF input requiring around 0.5 to 1 volts into 50ohms and a trigger input requiring around 5 volts into 50ohms The device delivers a TTL compatible output signal synchronised to an RF cycle following the input trigger. Typical jitter obtained with this device is much better than 100ps for RF clocks of around 80MHz. Operation from 1MHz to around 500MHz is possible.
The unit is a valuable addition to laser systems in which trigger signals need to be re-synchronised to the RF drive of a mode locked oscillator. With additional amplification and filtering of the RF input signal we could offer a system that needs only a photodode input instead of the RF input.
